Wow. What a great class! Everyone did a great job with these sweet daisies. They are all different, but they all work. We layered several colors of petals to achieve a fullness and depth in the flowers, we saved our brightest white to pick out the most brightly lit petals, which added dimension to the flowers. Everyone did a great job on the vase's shadow. All the vases look very well grounded and connected to the table. I also think this is the first time that the textured background really clicked. We got a more interesting, varied background by dry brushing our second color over the first.
I was very excited to find out that Brenda and Sarah visited The Foundry over the weekend and saw a waterlily painting that they really enjoyed. Also, Joyce has been snapping shots of clouds and watching a lot of videos about painting clouds. It makes me very happy to know that my girls are beginning to look at the world through artist's eyes!!!
