Those are some really nice sunsets, ladies! Everyone should be very proud of what they achieved tonight. It isn't a simple task to make a sky believably reflected in water, and every one of you did a great job of it. Everyone was also successful in making their images feel deep instead of flat. Remember to squeeze the light in your paintings to achieve more impact with your value differences. The darker the neighboring colors are, the brighter your light will be! Kudos to Sarah for her apocalyptic sunset, and for asking the good question "How would I make my sun NOT look like it is exploding?" Remember, the directionality of your brushstrokes counts. If all other things (color, value, shape, etc.) remain the same, but your brushstrokes are no longer radial, you will remove that 'exploding' feeling from your sunset. NOT that I think you should, but it's good to know how.
Quote of the evening: "The blue ate it."
