Tonight was the first Acrylic Painting Class at the Michaels in Shiloh. We had a great time, challenged ourselves, and wound up with some pretty great paintings. We learned that it takes a lot of time to do a proper job of all that drawing, that everyone in the class is a painter at heart, that Christy can't paint upside down, and that the electric company in Bodie has some 'splainin' to do. Thanks to Kathy, Peggy, Amber, Michelle, and Christian for making it such a great class.
If you ladies (and gent) are curious, I've found images from the town we were painting. Bodie, CA is a ghost town outside of Lake Tahoe. This website has some lovely shots of the town. This shot is actually the view we were painting except from the other end of the town. The white building on the right in the photo is actually the peaked white roof with the window at the far left end of the painting.
